- CMMI Gap Assessment & Organizational Complexity Assessment
-
CMMI Marketplace performs CMMI assessments to determine the specific tasks required to assist organizations achieve the best results. We have developed our own assessment/gap analysis methodology that has evolved over time, based on lessons learned from previous process improvement efforts with both SW-CMM® and CMMI-DEV®. It has evolved into a well-defined process for evaluating where an organization stands in relation to the CMMI defined criteria and what organizational barriers and enhancers are in place for process improvement.
- CMMI Appraisal Services (SCAMPI Class A, B, and C Appraisal Services)
-
A CMMI process appraisal is an objective evaluation of an organization's software or systems development capability. CMMI Marketplace has Software Engineering Institute (SEI) authorized staff to perform SCAMPI A, B, and C Appraisals for CMMI. Our consultants are among the most experienced Lead Appraisers and have been providing SEI appraisal services for a long time. As an SEI Partner, we offer a full range of process appraisal services - from formal benchmark appraisals to brief, informal assessments - and are certified by the SEI to conduct SCAMPI High Maturity Appraisals (Maturity Levels 4 & 5).
-
SCAMPI Class - A Appraisal
-
A SCAMPI A appraisal is typically conducted when an organization has implemented a number of significant process improvements and needs to formally benchmark its processes relative to the CMMI. A SCAMPI A is the only appraisal method that provides CMMI Maturity Level or Capability Level ratings.
- SCAMPI Class - B Appraisal
-
A SCAMPI B is called for when an organization needs to assess its progress towards a target CMMI Maturity or Capability Level, but at a lower cost than a SCAMPI A. SCAMPI B appraisals provide detailed findings and indicate the likelihood that the evaluated practices would be rated as satisfactorily implemented in a SCAMPI A appraisal. The SCAMPI B essentially serves as a readiness dry-run for the SCAMPI A Appraisal.
-
SCAMPI Class - C Appraisal
-
SCAMPI C appraisals are shorter, less formal and more flexible than SCAMPI A and B appraisals and are conducted to address a variety of special needs, from a quick gap analysis to determining an organization's readiness for a SCAMPI B or A.
- Appraisal Requirements for CMMI (ARC) Appraisals
-
Similar to the SCAMPI Class A, B, & C appraisals as mentioned above, however, it is not a required to report results back to the SEI. ARC appraisals provide more tailoring flexibility to the organization being appraised. ARC appraisals comply with the implementation methodology using an ARC-compliant method.
- SCAMPI B & C Observations
-
Our SEI Certified High Maturity Lead Appraiser is a registered SEI Observer of Candidate SCAMPI B/C Appraisers. He is authorized to conduct observations with prior approval and coordination with the SEI.
